DESCRIPTION:For this year's spring event\, the committee has decided to tr
y something different for the village - A Cheshire Rural Touring Arts (CRT
 A) event.\nThe association aims to represent a diverse programme of high-q
uality arts entertainment for all tastes and ages\, including live theatre
 \, literature\, music and dance\, in Cheshire's rural venues.\nThey have b
een fortunate enough to secure a booking for Robin Ince\, who will\, no do
 ubt\, be well-known to many of you. \nRobin Ince\, award-winning broadcast
er and comedian\, is best-known as the co-presenter of the multi-award-win
ning Radio 4 science show "The Infinite Monkey Cage". He recently wrote an
 d presented "Writing the Universe"\, and a four-part solo stand-up series
"Reality Tunnel". He has performed across the world from Reykjavic to Dun
edin\, LA to Sophia and won many awards for his shows including Time Out's
outstanding achievement in comedy award. His books include "I'm a joke a
nd so are you"\, "Bibliomaniac"\, "The Importance of Being Interested". In
2022\, he won the Author of the Year from the Bookseller Association. His
next book is about neurodivergence - "Normally Weird ... Weirdly Normal"\
, followed by his first collection of poetry\, "Ice cream for a Broken Too
th". \nFor over thirty years\, Robin has entertained thousands in perso
n and on air. But underneath the surface\, a whirlwind was at play - a str
 uggle with sadness\, concentration\, self-doubt and near-constant anxiety.
But then he discovered he had all the hallmarks of Attention Deficit Hype
ractivity Disorder (ADHD)\, and his stumbling blocks became stepping ston
es.\nHis show is entitled "The Universe and Neurodiverse" and seeks to loo
k at things a bit differently. What is being a bit weird is actually norma
l? What if sharing our internal struggles isn't a sign of weakness\, but s
trength?\nThis promises to be an extremely entertaining evening\, so do pu
t the date in your diary and more details about tickets will follow.
