Connecting our church community - take a look at our weekly newsletter bringing lots of news from our church community.
To keep you occupied while we wait for lockdown to relax, attached is a bumper newsletter! It is packed with interesting items - thoughtful articles such as Sallie Bancroft’s fascinating piece on Ember Days; David Mayers on Fairtrade Fortnight; Sue Reid’s report on her new job; a first-hand account of life on the front-line; information on how to order your Traidcraft goods - including Easter Eggs - and have them delivered directly to your door; plans for a 2021 pilgrimage (postponed from 2020); and - of course - front-page birthday wishes to Jo Durbin!
In addition are many lighter features among which I would include Barry Langman’s simply amazing “lockdown project” - although, given how long Barry has really been working on this - he might object to the use of the word “lighter”! But how to class “Mr Budgett’s Day Out”?! I admit I was overcome with laughter when I read this, but I wouldn’t want to hurt David’s feelings by telling him, especially as he looks so morose in his picture.
This newsletter is the vehicle by which we all stay in touch and it is lovely that so many people contribute their thoughts, stories, jokes and reflections. Please send in any items of your own for future issues to [email protected] or phone me on 01625 614 819. Given the circulation of this newsletter – global fame (or notoriety) may await you.
Have a good week.
