Church of England Diocese of Chester Saint Michael and All Angels, Macclesfield

Second Sunday of Easter (19th April 2020)

Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, alleluia!

It's still the season of Easter, and we're still unable to worship together in our beautiful building. However we're delighted to bring our Sunday worship to you, from various homes around Macclesfield, to you wherever you are. So join us in worshipping God this day.

Our gospel reading is the account of Thomas, who declares the Lordship of Jesus Christ. May we do the same!

With input from a number of our church members, and a message from our Team Rector, Revd Martin Stephens, you can join in too by downloading the liturgy from the link below.

For copyright reasons we cannot include song tracks within the service, so we suggest a couple of songs you might sing along to at various points in the service. Pause the video at these points, and click on the appropriate link displayed below, opening it in a separate tab. After the song you can easily return to the recorded service where you left off.

Choice of first song: I cannot tell, why He whom angels worship or See what a morning

Second song: Here is love, vast as the ocean - 2 verse version or 4 verse version

Choice of final song: Thine be the glory or Because He lives (I can face tomorrow)

Thank you for joining us in worship. If you would like to contribute in some way, perhaps with a reading or acting out the storytelling, or you'd like to share something you've experienced in worship or you'd like us to support you in prayer then please do get in touch.
