Church of England Diocese of Chester Saint Michael and All Angels, Macclesfield

Fourth Sunday of Easter - 3rd May

Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, alleluia!

The season of Easter continues, as does our online morning worship 'St Michael's at Home'. So we're delighted to bring our Sunday worship to you, from our various homes (and one garden) around Macclesfield.

As you join us in worshipping God today, our Bible reading is from John 10:1-10 - Jesus' declaration that He is the gate. Lynne relates this to our experience of and need for Jesus in our present situation.

With input from a number of our church members, including a wonderful telling of the story of Jesus and the marvellous catch of fish, you can join in by downloading the Order of Service from the link below.

For copyright reasons we cannot include song tracks within the service, so we suggest a few songs you might sing or  hum, or simply listen, to to at various points in the service. Pause the video at these points, and click on the appropriate link displayed below. If you open this in a separate tab, after the song you can easily return to the recorded service where you left off.

Choice of first song: The King of love my shepherd is, or The Lord's my shepherd (I will trust in You)

Choice of second song: Father, hear the prayer we offer, or Is He worthy?

Final song: Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy.

Thank you for joining us in worship. If you would like to contribute in some way, perhaps with a reading or acting out the storytelling, or you'd like to share something you've experienced in worship or you'd like us to support you in prayer then please do get in touch.
