22 September—HARVEST THANKSGIVING

We will give thanks for the harvest at both Masses on this day, and make our usual collection of goods for the Foodbank.

24 September—OUR LADY OF WALSINGHAM

The Feast of Our Lady of Walsingham takes place on 24 September, and St John’s will host a Sung Mass in celebration at 7.30pm. Members of the local Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham will be invited, and we will be joined by friends from other parishes locally.

28 September—CELEBRATION AT St NICHOLAS, RADFORD

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the founding of the parish of St Nicholas, Radford. That parish faces another major milestone as the church built in the 1950s may soon be demolished. The parish will therefore celebrate 150 years of their life, and give thanks for all that took place in the old church with a service of thanksgiving at 3.00pm on 28 September, and welcome all who might like to join them.

6 October—BISHOP PAUL'S VISIT

Bishop Paul will be with us on the morning of 6 October to celebrate the Mass and spend time with us. The morning Mass will be followed by a parish lunch, to which all are welcome.

10 October—BABLAKE SCHOOL CONCERT

Students from Bablake School will put on a concert at 1.10pm on 10 October. The concert is free to attend and all are welcome.

12 October— CÔR CYMRAEG CONCERT

Our local Welsh choir will perform a concert in church on 12 October at 7.30pm. Do look out for further details nearer the time.
