From today, 5 November, we cannot gather for public worship. This is a great sadness to us, but we hope and pray that the time will soon come when we can gather together again.

During lockdown St John's will be open for private prayer on Saturdays between 10am and 12noon and on Sundays between 11am and 12noon. You are welcome to come to the church at those times, to enjoy some peace, to say a prayer and to light a candle.

On Sundays, The Rector will say Mass privately in church at 10am, and people are invited to make their spiritual communion at that time. The booklet with readings and prayers of the day and the form for making a spiritual communion will be shared on this site each weekend.

Every day Fr Dexter will say the Angelus in church at 6pm, and will ring the bell to let people know that this is happening. You are invited to share in this each day at 6pm. A booklet containing the Angelus and other prayers that you might like to use is attached here.

Please feel free to be in touch if there is anything that we can assist with in these days of lockdown.
