DESCRIPTION:Christmas season in the Benefice commences with a Carol Servic
 e in Ashow church\, commencing at 4 pm on Sunday\, 17th December 2023.\nUn
 der the direction of Susan Spencer\, a choir has been formed and they will
  be leading a service of preparation for Christmas\, to which everybody is
  invited.   Well-known music for the occasion has been chosen and there wi
 ll be plenty of opportunity for everyone to join in.\n\nLater the same day
 \, at 7 pm in Stoneleigh church\, the traditional service of nine lessons 
 and carols will be held\, when the lessons will be read by representatives
  of organisations and bodies within the church and the village.   The sing
 ing will be led by the Stoneleigh Male Voice Choir and the Stoneleigh Ladi
 es Choir\, all under the direction of our organist John Morris.\n\nAt the 
 end of the service\, everybody is invited to the Village Club for festive 
 refreshments.\n\nFamily and friends are all invited to one (or both!) of t
 hese very seasonal and welcome occasions.
