In line with Government and Church of England guidance St Peter & St John's are holding services in line with the guidelines having completed a Risk Assessment of our building.
During this very challenging time for us all it is important to know that the Church of England and our church is changing, not closed.
During this period we aim to keep in touch with you via our social media accounts, our webpage and by email. Our Vicar Rev. Sheila Bridge, along with others from our congregation, will be posting regular videos helping us to pray ‘together’ for those in need and for the nation. These can be found on our website https://www.peterjohnchurch.org.uk and on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/peterjohnchurch
We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am in church for a service of Holy Communion, apart from the first Sunday of the month when we meet via Zoom at 10.30am. If you would like to join us please email [email protected] for the link.
Whilst in church we ask that you follow all the recommended health & safety precautions to keep us all safe. You must not attend if you have any symptoms and while attending a service you must wear a mask at all times, santise your hands on the way in and out, be seated in an appropriately socially distanced way and provide track and trace details. There is no singing allowed, currently we are listening to songs and hymns.
Our focus is changing and at a time like this the church should be at the forefront of showing the world how we care and look after others, not just ourselves and those whom we know. We will also be sending out information about ways in which we can help people in our community and show practical help and support to those most alone and affected by these events.
