Wixford - St. Milburga
Early morning service of Communion, this is a said service (no hymns or music) and includes a short talk
During the Summer months we gather in St Milburga's to say the traditional service for the end of the day – Compline. We sing a few hymns and one of us leads some prayers before we leave in peace.
The four villages choir sing evensong together with one of the ministers from the benefice. This is a traditional service from the Book of Common Prayer with organ and choir including sung responses, a psalm, an anthem and at least 4 hymns from Ancient and Modern Revised. The service also includes prayers and a sermon.
The service takes place on the first Sunday of each month and it takes place in turn in each of the 4 villages of Binton, Exhall, Temple Grafton and Wixford. The service comes to Wixford in April, August and December.
