  the special day.\nThe First Sunday of Advent begins the Church’s year a
 nd draws us into a season of hopeful expectation. As we light the first ca
 ndle—the Hope Candle—we remember the prophets’ promises and look for
 ward to Christ’s coming with renewed trust and anticipation.\nLed by Rev
 ’d Brenda Jackson\, this Holy Communion service invites us to begin our 
 Advent journey together through Scripture\, prayer\, and the sharing of br
 ead and wine.\nOur worship includes hymns\, sung responses\, and a sermon 
 to help us open our hearts to the hope and promise of this season. The mus
 ic is led by our four-part robed choir—soprano\, alto\, tenor\, and bass
 —whose robes symbolise unity\, devotion\, and reverence in worship.\nA g
 entle and uplifting way to begin Advent.
