Church of England Diocese of Derby Hathersage

Meet our new curate!

25 Apr 2021, midnight

We are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming a new curate in training to our leadership team in late June.

Charlotte Wallington is from London, and is currently finishing her initial training for ordination at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford. She will be ordained deacon by Bishop Libby on 27th June, and then will be with us for the next three years or so of her training curacy, with Paul Moore as her Training Incumbent.

Charlotte briefly visited the Hope Valley recently, and is very excited to be coming to join us. It will be a huge privilege for us to welcome Charlotte to share and serve in God’s mission with us and to support her as she seeks to learn and widen her experience in preparation for her future ministry. Please pray for Charlotte as she finishes her studies, says good bye to her placement church and prepares to move here. Charlotte will be based in Hathersage, but she will be getting involved across all our parish communities.

Charlotte’s first Sunday with us as our new Curate will be July 4th. We hope to have a special united service of Welcome, at 10.30 am at Hathersage Parish Church. More details to follow.
