TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PUBLIC WORSHIP

Following Church of England advice aimed at limiting the spread of Coronavirus, public worship has been suspended until further notice. All formal meetings due to be held in the church are also cancelled.

STAVELEY CHURCH OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER ON SUNDAYS

The church building will be open for private prayer from 9.30 am until 10.30 am on Sundays for anyone who needs time for quiet personal contemplation and prayer. The Mass of the Sunday will have been said privately, and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed during the period of contemplation. Please observe the guidelines on distancing (2 metres) and hygiene practices when entering the church.

PEOPLE AT RISK

If you are in at 'at risk' group, we advise you to pray from home using resources available on our Parish Facebook page or the Church of England website. You may care to worship online by watching the video link to St Mary's, Kenton, a church of the Society, who have a permanent live webcam. Their Sunday mass is available on YouTube.

TO SPEAK TO A PRIEST

A priest will be available in the church for consultation during the Sunday time of private prayer. Further details will be posted on our social media as they become available.
