Easington Deanery has recently undertaken a restructure which has been approved by the Bishop's Council.
This has resulted in St Andrew's and Christ church, New Seaham ceasing to be a benefice together. St Andrew's is now in plurality with the benefice of Holy Trinity, Murton and Holy Trinity, South Hetton. Our previous vicar, the Rev'd Paul Harrison, remains as incumbent with Christ Church.
A clerical vacancy now exists for the new benefice which is given the term 'interregnum' and the day to day running of the churches falls to the respective churchwardens.
Services at St Andrew's will continue at the published times and will be led by visiting clergy or our Lay Reader.
Following lockdown the congregation look forward to returning to worship and would welcome anyone who would like to join us either in prayer or when our activities program resumes. A warm welcome awaits you
