Following a Church Council meeting this evening, we are asking the Bishop for permission to close for public worship until the government Covid review in February. Whilst public worship may be suspended, the life of the church will go on.

Starting this Saturday (9th Jan) St Matthew and St Luke's will be open for personal private prayer, on Saturdays from 2-4pm and Wednesdays from 10am-noon.

For those who don't have internet access our telephone services will go on. A pre-recorded service of Morning Prayer will be available on Sundays from 9:30am on 01325527446. We will also be using a teleconferencing system to say Evening Prayer on Thursday's at 6pm. Full joining instructions and the order of service can be downloaded from http://www.stmatthewstlukes.org.uk/media/download_gallery/WhyPay_BCP_Evening_Prayer.pdf

Facebook worship will follow our regular pattern of Sundays at 11am and 6pm, Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am, and a family service on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm.

We continue to pray for all those affected by Covid-19, their families, friends and all those involved in their treatment.
