Held on the 4th Sunday of each month (except December and Feast days) Café Church features coffee/ tea and cake in abundant quantities! Ideal for families it usually has a theme, not too challenging, laughter, a decent song and the Lord's Prayer. Lots of local residents come to Café Church every month for the relaxed atmosphere and chat. Our door is wide enough for electric scooters, prams, walkers and well behaved dogs.

We are always astounded at how well attended our coffee mornings are- but we do suspect why! It's the incredible array of bakes that place temptation in front of every visitor as well as the genuine French press coffee. Tea, juice and instant coffee also available of course. We ask for donations.

This is a Village Partnership event, but is held in the St Mary's Churchyard every year on the 1st Sunday in June. Join in with literally hundreds of other village residents. Bring your families, friends, tables, chairs, picnics, drinks, even candelabra and pot plants! There will be activities, fun and yes, the ice cream van! St Mary's in charge of the kitchen at this month's Village Market! That means bacon sarnies, lots of cakes, possibly sausage sarnies (if Mike gets his way....) The market is on the last Saturday of every month and the responsibility for the kitchen refreshments changes around the groups each month.

In October 2023 The Eclectic-Lite Trio with Jonathan Worthy gave a concert in St. Mary's. The result was astounding... a sell-out audience enjoyed an incredibly entertaining evening of classics and pop ranging from Flanders and Swan to Lloyd Webber via Debussy and Les Misérables. It was an amazing evening and the demand for a repeat was instant. Well, we've done it! They have agreed to return with a brand new show (some favourites may return.) Put this date in your diaries now and watch out for more details on this page and via our Facebook page- link on the left. This concert is held in order to specifically raise funds for the church building so please let us know if you would wish your ticket purchase (we anticipate £12) to be used for more general church work.
