DESCRIPTION:On Maundy Thursday we gather in church at St George's\, just a
 s Jesus and his disciples did in the upper room. On that night Jesus gave 
 himself in humble service\, washing the feet of his friends\, and we also 
 offer the opportunity to have your feet washed\, as a symbolic following o
 f his command to serve each other.\n\nWe'll share communion\, the bread an
 d wine\, remembering Jesus commandment "to do this in memory of me"\, and 
 then at the end of the service\, the church is ceremonially stripped and w
 e move into the chapel for the Watch of the Passion. This is a time of qui
 et prayer and contemplation\, waiting with Jesus just as the first discipl
 es did. You're welcome to stay for as short or as long a time as you'd lik
 e.
