A few words from Chris about our Advent Series – ‘Comfort and Joy’
Comfort and Joy holds together the hope that Christmas will bring joy and celebration after a uniquely difficult year with an acknowledgement that – for those who have lost loved ones or livelihoods, or who are potentially still not able to be together with loved ones – it is our calling to provide consolation, and not assume everyone will be ready to join in jubilation.

In week 1 we remember the prophets who proclaimed God’s hopes, desires and dreams for our world. Let us keep their flame glowing strong in our hearts, even now.
In week 2 with Mary we say "Here I am," we say with Mary, "the Lord’s servant. Let it be with me according to your will."
In week 3 we refuse to bow to all the Herods and all their ruthless regimes – and to reserve our loyalty for a better King and a better Kingdom.
And in week 4 we remember that "The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit."
We hope you can join with us online or in person once restrictions are lifted. With every blessing this advent time, Chris
