AS the restoration of the church proceeds the new roofs have been completed and the church is now weatherproof. At this time it is customary to hold a 'Topping Out' celebration, toasting the progress of the work. This event is attended by invited dignitaries as well as the parishioners, donors and craftsmen involved in the restoration. The President of the Norfolk Churches Trust has been invited to lead the toast and has accepted.

Visit Beachamwell, enjoy light lunches and afternoon teas, try your luck on the tombola or raffle (or both). Take a stroll around the open gardens, learn about bats and composting. See inside St Mary's church and find out how the restoration is coming along. Adults £5 per head and kids go free (U16). A great afternoon out for all the family.
