Members of the Friends of All Saints' Church got together last Saturday (19th June) to weed and clear some of the churchyard and clean out the drainage gully around the base of the church.
Natalie Ford, together with Florenze and Theodore did an excellent job clearing the gateway and steps at the west entrance and helped Churchwarden, Jane Feaviour-Clarke, to weed the pathway down to the West door. Nigel and Sue Little, Will Sutton and Richard Hines had the unenviable task of clearing out the drainage gully around the base of the church which was full of moss, weeds and other debris. Tony and Kristjan Feaviour cleared a large part of the churchyard to the North of the church which was very overgrown with nettles and ivy.
The volunteers worked from around 10am until 2pm with a short break for lunch which was kindly provided by Gloria Peacock.
Many thanks to all those who gave their time to help tidy up our lovely churchyard and church. Another working party is planned for mid-July.
