DESCRIPTION:This morning  (Sunday\, 8th June) we had a very unpleasant eve
 nt during the service. \nA woman had arrived late and took a purse out of 
 the handbag of the person sitting next to her. Luckily it was noticed and 
 retrieved\, so nothing was lost. We all felt dreadfully betrayed that such
  a thing should happen during Holy Communion\, in a place of trust.\nThis 
 woman left the church quickly after the service before any action could be
  taken (and it is difficult to know what action we could have taken as the
  property was not stolen in the end). She then caught a bus to Cinderford 
 and repeated the behaviour in another church\, this time successfully stea
 ling from two extremely elderly ladies.\nIf you see a stranger in your chu
 rch\, be aware she is working her way through our area. The police are inf
 ormed and hopefully she will be apprehended before she can cause much more
  destruction.
