Trinity College, Oxford Chapel Choir Visit

Notices Church_news

Trinity Chapel Choir in Oxford is one of the finest non-auditioning, inclusive choirs in Oxford. The choir is dedicated to performing music beyond the traditional canon, and diversifying the repertoire they sing, including a dedication to singing music by women composers on a weekly basis. Outside of this the choir performs yearly tours, most recently to Valencia, Krakow, Rome and Prague.

Fourteen members of the choir, including the Organ Scholar Florence Robinson who directed them, came to sing at our Eucharist service on Pentecost Sunday, 8 June. They sang an introit by Palestrina and, for an anthem, a setting of "Ave verum corpus" by Elgar. Florence also played the organ and delighted us with an organ voluntary. It was lovely to have strong singing from the choir stalls leading us in the hymns as well. We hope to welcome them back on another occasion.
