Following external repairs to the Church roof, contractors last week completed temporary repairs to the ceiling. In their opinion, the ceiling of the Nave is now safe for use. Unfortunately the ceiling of the Chancel (Choir and Altar) is presently considered unsafe for use. We await a written report from contractors and will hope to commission more permanent repairs in the New Year. <div>
The Schedule of Services for the remainder of this Year is as follows:
9th December, Evening Prayer, 5pm
13th December, Compline, 4pm
20th December, Carol Service, 6pm
24th December, Holy Communion, 11pm
As regards the Carol Service, given current guidance (no singing indoors), we are organising an outdoor Carol Service in the South Churchyard.
As regards the Service of Holy Communion on the 24th, given limited maximum capacity (circa 40 persons, depending on the size of family bubbles), I invite those intending to attend to register with me in advance (by email, SMS or WhatsApp). We will allocate places on a first come, first served basis. In this way we aim to avoid turning anyone away on the night. </div>The School will use the building for classroom 'bubbles' on the 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th.
We will aim to open the building for private prayer on Fridays and Mondays from 10am to 2pm commencing on the 11th.
