  of Guides will lead you around the building sharing their knowledge and a
 nswering your questions.\nJoin our Guides and explore Guildford Cathedral\
 , The People’s Cathedral\, an iconic Grade II* listed building\, designe
 d and built by Sir Edward Maufe during one of the most turbulent periods o
 f the 20th Century.\nDiscover the community of 200\,000 people who willed 
 it into being through the brick giving campaign.\nEnjoy commanding views t
 owards the North Downs as you take in the stunning sculptures by artists s
 uch as Eric Gill\, Charles Gurrey and Vernon Hill.\nThe tour lasts approxi
 mately an hour.\n\nTower Tour |12.30pm\nThis tour involves climbing 249 st
 eps to the top of the Tower led by expert Guides. The reward is a stunning
  view over Surrey and the surrounding area. For health and safety reasons 
 no children under eight years old will be allowed on the Tour. All childre
 n under sixteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No person ov
 er eighty years of age\, infirm\, disabled\, pregnant \,suffers heart diso
 rders or suffering from any other medical or physical condition which coul
 d be affected by the climb will be allowed onto the Tour. Visitors sign a 
 risk acceptance form.\nJoin our Tower Tour Guides on an exciting journey s
 piralling up the 249 steps to the top of Guildford Cathedral. Pass through
  our Ringing Chamber and Bell Chamber containing the only ring of 12 bells
  in the Diocese. Enjoy the stunning 360° views across Guildford and towar
 ds London.\nPlease meet in the South Porch at least 15 minutes before the 
 tour is scheduled to begin for a briefing.\n\nArchitecture Tours | 1.30pm
