Dear Friends,

We would like to invite you to join our All Age Service ‘At Home’ this Sunday at 11:00am using Zoom. This week’s theme is ‘we don’t like COVID-19’. Intrigued? Then please join us.

The service will be approximately 45 minutes: at the end, after Fr Aran’s blessing, if you would like to remain on-line, we will go to ‘break out’ rooms for a 3 minute chat in small groups.

The Zoom joining details are:

As a reminder, this Sunday’s Eucharist service with Fr Aran is at Braceborough starting at 9 am. Next Sunday 20th September, the Eucharist service will be at West Deeping starting at 9am. If you would like to book a place at either service, please email [email protected] or Tel/Text 07484 201413.

The latest Church of England guidance on COVID-19 restrictions on social gatherings states: Following indications that the number of people permitted to take part in a social gathering is to be reduced from 30 to 6 in England, we understand the new regulations – which come in to effect from Monday 14 September - will not apply to public worship or individual prayer in church buildings. West Deeping church will continue to remain open for private prayer and to borrow books, videos and puzzles in our ‘lending library’. At this ‘Harvest Time’, you might like to leave a food donation for Deepings Foodbank in the box in the porch entrance. We will make sure your gifts get to the Foodbank as soon as we can. A letter of appreciation from Deepings Foodbank is next to the box.

Due to the cancellation of the Macmillan Coffee Morning, cakes will now be available to order throughout September. Details on how to order and/or how to donate to this worthy cause please contact Lesley Ward at [email protected] or on 07845132129.

This Saturday, Allan and I are riding in aid of Lincolnshire Churches Trust annual ‘bike ride and stride’. All churches in our benefice will be open so you may like to participate. If you would prefer to sponsor Allan or myself, a sponsorship form is in the church porch entrance – just sign up or contact Allan or me.

You may have heard that Paul Bragg is cycling throughout September in aid of Cancer Research. He aims to cycle 300 miles during the month and is already well on the way to achieving that target. You can support Paul and the worthy cause he is cycling in aid of by ‘Just Giving’ at Paul's Cycle 300 Fundraising Page.

Please share this email with family, friends and neighbours.

We look forward to ‘seeing’ you on Sunday morning.
