The current Covid-19 regulations for our area permit services in church to continue, subject to safety precautions (which within our Group means limiting attendance to a little under thirty), and practicing social distancing (particularly – except for families and linked households – not mixing in groups of more than six). The precautions also require that attendance at any services in church be notified in advance (e-mail Carole: [email protected] or telephone/text 07484 201413) to ensure that attendance is within the safe limit, to arrange seating and for any possible NHS Test & Trace requirements.

Face coverings must be worn in places of worship unless you are not able to put on, wear or remove a face covering because of a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability; children under the age of 11 are also exempt. Disposable facemasks are available from the sides people on the day.

In accordance with current Church of England guidance, Communion will be administered in only one kind (i.e. the bread, the Blessed Sacrament).

By way of advance notice, it is planned to restart the West Deeping Bible Study Group via Zoom on Tuesday 27th October with a study of Psalm 46 led by Susanna Aldred – this is not reserved for West Deeping, all are welcome to participate! The intention is to follow this with an Advent course on Tuesdays 3rd and 17th November and 1st and 15th December. Details (and the Zoom link) will follow, but please put these Tuesday afternoons in your diaries if you are interested.

It seems likely that our pattern of worship and mode of communication will remain disrupted for some time, and prolonged use of electronic communication will continue to be important – please feel free to pass this message (and attachment) to anyone you think might wish to receive it. Requests to be added to the distribution list are very welcome (but should be from the individual concerned for privacy and data protection reasons); conversely, should you no longer wish to receive this weekly communication please email me accordingly.

Wishing you every blessing and good health in the coming weeks.

Martin
