Deanery Synod - A New representative, our Churchwarden Barry Hodgson has been duly elected
Deanery Synod - A New representative was needed for the new triennium
Within the synodical structure of the Church of England, deanery synod representatives hold a particularly important role. They elect both the lay Diocesan Synod members to represent their deaneries and the lay General Synod members to represent our Diocese. If the lay membership of the Diocesan and General Synods is to truly speak for all of us, it is important that our parishes elect as deanery synod members people who do actually reflect the local views.
The deanery synod lay elections took place as part of the 2020 Annual Parochial Church Meetings, Wednesday 30th September at Tallington
Our Churchwarden Barry Hodgson was duly elected
