Do you enjoy gardening? Have you time to spare on the third Saturday each month? If the answer to these is 'Yes!' we'd love you to join us at our new gardening club.

We've set up an informal gardening club to care for the churchyard as a peaceful community space and develop it as a haven for wildflowers and wildlife. We hold a group session on the third Saturday each month from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm and anyone interested in helping out is welcome to come along. You can stay for a whole session or drop in for a while.

A few of the flowerbeds have been 'adopted' by volunteers who look after them. However, there are others in need of care, especially as we need to tidy things up before winter sets in. You can adopt a bed or area to look after regularly or have a look round and see what needs doing on the day.

Owing to CofE rules around Covid, we ask that you bring a face covering, gardening gloves and your own drinks, snacks and/or lunch with you. If you have them, please bring your own tools, particularly a spade or fork, hand fork, trowel and secateurs. Bring your waterproofs just in case!

St Michael's Church, Waddington

St Michaels is a welcoming, active and inclusive church in Waddington, about 5 miles south of Lincoln. Built in the 1950s, after the previous church was destroyed during WWII, the building is located in the older part of the village on the Lincolnshire Edge. We look forward to welcoming you into our church.

We gather together each Sunday at 10:30am for our morning service. This service is often a communion service where we remember Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection. There are refreshments after the service and our children's area provides space for children to play and explore together. On a Sunday evening (6pm in the summer, 3.30pm in the winter) we gather for a short evening prayer service. 

During the week the church is open 10am-4pm. On Monday's we are open as a Warm Welcome Space 10am-4pm providing company, hot drinks, activities and lunch. On a Tuesday our Discoverers after school club meets for ages 5-11, fortnightly from 3.30pm - 4.45pm.  Prayer Wave, our weekly prayer meeting, takes place online on a Wednesday morning at 9.30am. On the second Saturday of the month we hold our community coffee morning 10.30am-12pm.
