DESCRIPTION:Saturday morning recital with Elizabeth Harwood.\n\nElizabeth 
 Harwood  BAhons\, ARCT\, FRCCO\n\n\nElizabeth is an accomplished church mu
 sician\, organist and accompanist. Elizabeth and her husband (Chris) moved
  to Newark 3 years ago from Nova Scotia\, Canada to enjoy “retirement”
  in the UK. She has recently retired as Assistant Organist at St. Mary Mag
 dalene in Newark and is currently the organist/accompanist for the Cranmer
  Company of Singers based out of Whatton on the Vale.\n\nIn Nova Scotia El
 izabeth served as Organist and Choir Director at several churches. She als
 o served as University and Chapel organist at Acadia University. Prior to 
 moving to Nova Scotia she was Organist and Choir Director at Christ's Chur
 ch Cathedral in Hamilton Ontario.\n\nElizabeth is a Fellow of the Royal Ca
 nadian College of Organists\, having received the Healey Willan award for 
 performance excellence. She was also the recipient of the Royal Conservato
 ry (Toronto) gold medal for the ARCT. She studied with Gerald Wheeler in O
 ttawa and Bernard Lagacé in Montreal. Elizabeth gained her understanding 
 of the English Choral tradition as Assistant Organist at St. Matthew’s C
 hurch Ottawa working with Gerald Wheeler and Brian Law.\n\nIn demand as a 
 recitalist and organ accompanist\, Elizabeth has served as organ accompani
 st with many choirs in Nova Scotia and Ontario. She has accompanied Canadi
 an choirs on UK tours to Canterbury and Ely (1992) and Gloucester and Exet
 er (2011).  She has played continuo and as an organ soloist with Symphony 
 Hamilton\, The New Hamilton Philharmonic\, the Boris Brott Summer Festival
  Orchestra and continuo with Symphony Nova Scotia and the Ensemble Regale-
 University of King’s College Chapel Choir. She has given recitals in sev
 eral Canadian Provinces\, and broadcast on the CBC Radio Program – Organ
 ists in Recital.\n\nAway from music Elizabeth enjoys walking and exploring
  with her husband and dogs. She also enjoys fibre arts\, knitting\, weavin
