FAMILY FUNDAYA Family Funday was held at the Winchelsea Centre Ruskington to help entertain the children during half term it was lovely to welcome so many. Here are some photos of the event.
MESSY CHURCHMessy Church was held on the 7th of October at Chestnut Street School Ruskington where we learned about the Good Shepherd in our worship, sang Jesus’ love is very wonderful before we took part in lots of crafts, some of them very messy, as we explored the story. We were delighted to welcome some new families which included, baby Atticus, twins Lily and Max and their big brother Benjamin and a real first for us as we welcomed brand-new baby (2 days old) Theo who came to meet his big sister. Messy Church is a wonderful way for families to connect through faith. If you feel this is something, you might wish to explore then please contact Reverend Al or come along to our next event at Chestnut Street School on the 4th of November at 3pm when we will be exploring Remembrance.
VISIT TO CHESTNUTS RETIREMENT HOMEOn the 12th of October Reverend Al was invited to the Chestnuts Retirement Home to offer some entertainment to the residents. We sang lots of songs from the 60s, 70s and even the 80s. It was a lovely time and it was good to have a partner, Ray, who was responsible for saying “Ready Freddy” during a Crazy Little Thing Called Love. We look forward to our next visit.
