We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rev. Joseph Snelling as Rector of the Woodhall Spa Group of Parishes.

Joseph is originally from Shropshire; he studied Theology at the University of Cambridge, before spending a year working for Apple in London as part of their Leadership Development Program. He then worked for Alpha International based at Holy Trinity Brompton in London where he looked after training churches in the UK and around the world in developing mission using Alpha. He trained for ordination at St. Mellitus College in London and then moved to Lincoln to serve as Assistant Curate at St. Swithin’s.

Joseph is married to Nicola who works for the Diocese of Lincoln as the Strategic Programme Manager. They have a son, Solomon, who is almost three.

Joseph writes:

‘We are really excited to be moving to Woodhall Spa as a family and can’t wait to be able to get to know you all. I am passionate about seeing communities develop in prayer, in mission and in service and I really look forward to working together with you to grow and develop the life and mission of the parishes. I am praying for you and am excited to be able to pray with you before too long. We would love your prayer as we move and settle in, hopefully we can meet over a socially distanced cuppa in the garden soon!’

Joseph and his family are now making arrangements to move into the Vicarage and it won’t be long before we see them about in the Parish.

In view of the current Covid arrangements, the Institution and Induction Service will be held in private, but once these are eased we plan to hold a celebration to welcome him and his family to the Group. At the present time, you will understand that we are unable to say when that might be.

In the meantime, I hope you will join with us in congratulating Joseph on his appointment and work with us as we navigate our way through the appointment of a new Incumbent in a difficult time of Lockdown.

Thank you all for your support and if you have any questions, please do make contact with either of us and we will be pleased to assist.
