DESCRIPTION:The castle has been closed for essential repairs and as a resu
 lt\, visitors to the church have also been greatly reduced - it hasn’t b
 een helped by the weather which has been a bit unfriendly! Consequently th
 e heritage centre has been closed. However\, we have been told that that t
 he castle will be open on Saturday 14th as well as 21st June so the herita
 ge centre and cafe will open at the weekend.\nThe Heritage centre features
  historical artifacts and information about Holy Trinity Collegiate church
 . There is also a very informative display about the bats that roost in ou
 r church. There are itemsfor sale - including books and cds\, local honeys
 \, jams and pickles in season. The cafe offers hot and cold drinks\, cake 
 made by a local bakery\, and confectionery.  There is a selection of inter
 esting items that you never knew you needed until you set eyes on them!
