DESCRIPTION:In March 2024\, a remarkable art installation was unveiled as 
 part of the Angels at South Thoresby exhibition in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
  The centrepiece was a life-sized interpretation of the Archangel Uriel\, 
 created by two locally based artists. Drawing on traditional crafting tech
 niques\, they employed intricate forms of needlework to fashion the angel
 ’s stunning gown\, a testament to both artistry and devotion.\n\nFollowi
 ng its debut\, Archangel Uriel was exhibited at Louth Museum during the su
 mmer season\, where it accompanied the recently restored medieval angels f
 rom Grimoldby Church. This pairing offered visitors a rare dialogue betwee
 n contemporary craftsmanship and historic treasures.\n\nNow\, for a limite
 d time over the festive season\, Archangel Uriel returns to public view at
  St Nicholas’ Church\, Swaby. This display provides a special opportunit
 y: for those who have already encountered the angel\, a chance to revisit 
 and reflect\; and for those who missed its earlier appearances\, the perfe
 ct moment to experience it for the first time.
