St Bartholomew's Church, Roby

Our 9am service is the most traditional of our services, with a robed choir, organ music and Bible teaching & prayer using Common Worship. Everyone is welcome, but please be aware that there are no separate activities for children during this service.

In January 2019 we relaunched our evening service. We have a particular focus on welcoming 13s-30s, although everyone is most welcome to join us. There's no separate provision for kids, but they're welcome to join us with their carers. Church opens at 6:00pm for refreshments (there's always cake!) and the service begins some time after this, and finishes by 7:30pm. The service usually involves a time of sung worship led by a band, then a Bible reading and talk, and then some sort of prayer/response.

Our 11am service is ideal for all ages and tries to cater for everyone. It is a lively and upbeat service, informally led, with a variety of worship songs led by our band, including a mix of both traditional and contemporary songs, as well as the odd action song thrown in here or there for the younger members of our congregation! The first Sunday of the month is All Age Parade Service. The other Sundays we have groups for 0-15 year olds. On the second Sunday we have Holy Communion, the third Sunday is Baptisms, and the fourth and fifth Sundays are Morning Worship.

We have Tots' Church for children aged 0-3 and Kids' Church for children aged 3-10, and they meet every week except the first Sunday for Bible teaching, stories & play time which are more relevant to them, whilst adults stay in church. Youth Church is for young people aged 11-15. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, and on the 3rd Sunday the young people are encouraged to serve in church in some way.

If you are with us for the first time, please feel free to take your child along to one of the groups so that they can be signed in.
