Church of England Diocese of Liverpool Sefton

SEFTON BELLS APPEAL 2020/21

We are celebrating our special 850th anniversary year in 2020, so “The Friends of Sefton Church” and the PCC have launched an appeal to raise funds to have the bells and frames restored. The last time that any major work was carried out on the belfry was in 1946 to mark the end of World War II.

During a recent inspection it was found that the bell fittings have become worn and there is considerable corrosion on the bell frame. The Westminster Chimes, which mark the hours, have not been heard for many years due to the hammers being damaged. Please help if you can, so that the bells at Sefton can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Bank Details are as follows:

Please send cheques made payable to "Sefton Church Bells Appeal" c/o 23 Berwick Drive Blundellsands Liverpool L23 7UH

Bank details:        Sort Code: 16-24-06          Account Number: 20332586

Please note: Due to the Corona virus lockdown and the majority of our fundraising events for the Bells being cancelled we are extending the Appeal into 2021.
