 remembers how the early Christians took their message onto the streets wit
 h enthusiasm and energy. Pentecost Celebrations want to capture something 
 of that same spirit of celebration.  People from across Merseyside normall
 y gather in Hope Street to celebrate the Christian Festival of Pentecost. 
 Inspired by the Pope’s visit to the city in 1982\, this event has become
  a regular annual feature of life in Liverpool.\n\nAnnual Pentecost Celebr
 ation - Pilgrims of Hope Sunday 8 June 2025\, 3-5pm\nOn the 8th of June at
  3 pm\, walk with us in a powerful celebration of Pentecost\, as we journe
 y together between Liverpool Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Sta
 rting at Liverpool Cathedral this symbolic walk unites all communities in 
 faith\, reflection and joy. The event will bring together Christians from 
 across the city and beyond.\nWhether you join every year or it's your firs
 t time\, all are welcome to take part in this joyful and meaningful act of
  witness through Liverpool's streets. Come as you are and be part of this 
 special tradition! No booking required. \nThe celebrations will begin with
  a short act of worship at Liverpool Cathedral and include the story of Pe
 ntecost\, hymns and stalls on the piazza of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Th
 e choirs of both cathedrals and a Salvation Army Band will be involved. Th
 ere will be giant family games at the end.
