DESCRIPTION:The World Day of Prayer (WDP) is a worldwide movement led by C
 hristian women of many traditions\, who call the faithful together to obse
 rve a common day of prayer on the first Friday in March. More than 120 cou
 ntries participate in an annual day of celebration\, which brings together
  people of various races\, cultures and traditions\, sharing God’s word 
 and worship.\n\nIn our local community\, this year's World Day of Prayer w
 ill be held at St.Michael’s Church in Aughton. All are welcome to attend
  this service which has been written by an ecumenical group of Christian w
 omen from Nigeria\, with a focus on the invitation of Jesus found in Matth
 ew 11:28–30\, as they call us to come closer and find rest in God.\n\nRe
 freshments will be provided after the service.
