St. Mary’s Church in Great Sankey is excited to invite everyone to its eagerly anticipated Summer Fair, taking place this Saturday, 19 July, from 12:00 noon to 3:30 pm. The event promises to be a vibrant and heartwarming afternoon for all ages, brimming with community spirit, laughter, and the joyful embrace of the summer sun!
Visitors can explore an array of stalls showcasing beautifully hand-knitted items, local crafts, and homemade cakes, alongside classic fair favourites such as games, tombolas and a raffle. Throughout the day, a delectable assortment of refreshments will be on offer, including a sizzling BBQ, tea and coffee, chips, soft drinks, and delightful sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.
Looking ahead to the day, John Taylor, the Churchwarden of St Mary’s, shared: "We are excited to welcome members of the church and the broader community to this year's Summer Fair. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, meet new friends, explore what’s happening at St. Mary’s, and support local stallholders as well as your parish church."
Whether you’re a long-time member of the congregation or just passing by, everyone is warmly invited to come along, soak up the summer atmosphere, and be part of this joyful community celebration.
