Church is open - Worship during Covid-19 - November Update
Remembrance, our Memorial Service, Private Prayer, and more...
Hello everyone, Lots of changes to our lives again, and so various changes to our activities together as church families… Grab a cuppa, make yourself comfortable and read on..
REMEMBRANCE
With our church buildings being closed again for gathered worship, we’ve had re-adjust our plans.
We’ve created a pre-recorded Service of Remembrance, which will be available from Sunday morning, on both our (Hub and church) Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/NEHubWigan , and also on our brand new, very own, YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNX3v0M4gmsfwpo7G7qiWgA/
You can watch around 11am on Sunday morning – the silence is about 12 mins in, so start watching about 10.45am, and the 2 minutes silence will be at 11am.
Or of course you can watch at any time which works for you.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
We are preparing a Memorial Service, for all those who have lost loved ones this year. This will be available from Sunday 22nd November at 3pm.
During the service we will read out the names of those we have lost.
We’re asking permission of families with whom we’ve been in contact this year, whether for a funeral or ashes burial, to read out their loved one’s name.
If you would like a name added to those we will read out, please do let us know.
The service will be available on Facebook and YouTube – on the links given above.
PRIVATE PRAYER
In line with government regulations, we will open our churches for Private Prayer during these 2nd Lockdown weeks.
Our PCC / church council have agreed on Saturdays, 11am to noon. Dates and venues are:
Sat 7th Nov: St David’s
Sat 14th Nov: St Stephen’s
Sat 21st and 28th Nov: St Elizabeth’s or St John’s (to be confirmed)
All of these opening times are dependent on sufficient stewards being available.
There is no need to book in for these sessions, just turn up.
Please wear a face covering, and be sure to keep 6ft or more, at all times, between you and those not in your household.
