DESCRIPTION:Good Friday is the most bleak and dark day of Holy Week. We ma
 rk this in music\, words and prayer at St Bride’s in our Three Hours’ 
 Devotion which concludes at 2pm with an hour of poetry and choral music fo
 r Passiontide entitled God so loved the world sung by St Bride’s Choir.\
 n\nThe Three Hour Devotion begins at 12pm with a performance of Pergolesi
 ’s Stabat Mater. This is followed at 1pm by an hour of words and music e
 ntitled At the foot of the Cross which focuses on St Luke’s telling of t
 he Passion.\n\nYou are warmly invited to attend all or any part of the thr
 ee hours.\n\nMUSIC\nMusic will include familiar items such as Versa est in
  luctum by Tomás Luis de Victoria\, Christus factus est by Anton Bruckner
 \, and God so loved the world from Stainer’s The Crucifixion\, alongside
  new compositions such as Jeremy Jackman’s setting of My song is love un
 known.\n\nSUPPORT ST BRIDE'S\nThere will be a collection at the event to s
 upport the work\, ministry and music-making of St Bride's and help maintai
 n our magnificent Wren church.\n\nSt Bride's is wholly reliant on and deep
 ly grateful for the generous support of our visitors and congregation.\n\n
