DESCRIPTION:We gather on this most solemn of days to retell in words and m
 usic the story of the last hours of Christ’s life and his death on the C
 ross.\n\nThe central section of our Three Hour Good Friday observance this
  year is a reflection on the Passion narrative in St Mark’s Gospel\, foc
 using on three themes from the text: ‘Are you the King of the Jews?’\;
  ‘My God\, my God\, why have you forsaken me?’\; and ‘Truly this man
  was the Son of God.’\n\nEach section of this Gospel account is explored
  through reflection\, prayer\, and silence\, alongside some wonderful Pass
 iontide hymns and instrumental music.\n\nThe Three Hour Devotion begins at
  12pm with a performance of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater. It concludes with 
 God so loved the world – an hour of choral music and poetry for Passiont
 ide at 2pm.\n\nYou are warmly invited to attend all or any part of the thr
