DESCRIPTION:A service to commemorate those journalists\, photographers\, c
 amera-crew\, sound-crew and support staff who have died on the frontline\,
  will be held at St Bride’s Church\, Fleet Street on Tuesday 11th Novemb
 er 2025 at 6:30pm.\n\nThis year our annual service is entitled Conflict an
 d Calling which honours the tension at the heart of journalism – where t
 he risks of truth-telling meet the deep sense of vocation that drives it.\
 n\nIt also invites reflection on the courage\, sacrifice\, and moral convi
 ction of those whose work often exacts a great personal cost.\n\nADMISSION
 \nThe service is free and open to all\; please register to attend via →

 ll be given by James Waterhouse\, BBC Ukraine correspondent.\n\nThe first 
 reading will given by Fiona O’Brien\, UK Director\, Reporters Without Bo
 rders. Other readings will be given by leading figures in the media indust
 ry.\n\nThe service will be led by Canon Alison Joyce\, Rector of St Bride
 ’s\, with music performed by the renowned St Bride’s Choir.\n\nADDITIO
 NAL INFORMATION\nDoors open at 6pm and the service lasts around 1 hour.\n\
 nThe retiring collection will be shared between Reporters Without Borders 
 – the global organisation which defends the freedom\, pluralism and inde
 pendence of journalism – and St Bride's Church – the Journalists' Chur
 ch which supports and ministers to all connected with journalism\, of all 
 faiths and none.
