We are delighted that Professor Richard Buggs will be joining us at the next George & Vulture Dinner on Monday 2nd March, to lead a discussion, and answer questions on the subject 'Can you be a Biologist and a Christian?' Richard is Professor of Evolutionary Genomics at Queen Mary University of London, and a Senior Research Leader at Kew Gardens. He has become recognisable more recently as the pundit of choice on the BBC whenever Ash dieback or a similar tree disease needs a piece to camera. He has been a serious and committed Christian throughout his academic career in biology, and we are very much looking forward to hearing from him.
For those who value people on the strength of their connection to St. Michael's, it may help you to know that his sister Debbie is our treasurer.
