On Saturday July 17<sup>th</sup> and Sunday 18<sup>th</sup> we have an amazing community festival of music and light to help raise funds for Hornsey Parish Church and the important community work they have been doing during the pandemic. .
Featuring a variety of bands and performers, it’s going to be hot summer event. And it’s free.
On Saturday we kick off at 5pm with 6 different bands/performers playing blues, rock, soul and dance til late.
And an amazing psychedelic light show after dark.
A tribute to Pink Floyd, whose first lights shows, by Mark Hammond, were created at Hornsey College of Art.
Acclaimed local talent, Kate Shortt will be performing at 7pm with her cello, providing both music and comedy – “sheer brilliance” as she’s been described.
There will be a bar on site as well.
On Sunday we kick off at midday with two great swing + jive bands, Minnie and the Moochers and the 521s. Bring a picnic, it’s going to be a lovely day for all the family.
<strong>We will have a musical Eucharist at 4pm. </strong>
We continue the upbeat music at 5pm and swing into jazz at 7pm with Kate Shortt and her Cellicious jazz duo. This will be followed by a freeform open mic jazz session – all jazz players welcome.
