Dear Brother and Sisters
This is clearly a very difficult time for all of us living with this pandemic and a new way of life. The cases are clearly rising and this virus doesn't look to be going away anywhere soon. It's with a heavy heart that we've had to agree again to close our church doors for services, although in the circumstances we didn't really have a choice.</span>
In many ways this lockdown could be more challenging than the first lockdown, mainly due to the worse weather and the early nights. It will be a challenge for all of us to remain positive during these times, but we need to know that it is okay to not feel okay. Using tonnes of energy to try to disguise how we're really feeling won't help us or those around us for that matter.
We need to feel okay to say life is really tough, that the world isn't how we would like it. We must also find a way to live in the here and now, for in life that is all we truly have. If we allow ourselves to become preoccupied with the past or the uncertain future, we never live for today.
One day at a time must be our focus, for just like my good friend Jesus once said: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own". Jesus also said: "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?...May each one of you stay safe and may you find some space and peace for God in your lives".
God Bless you all
