Following a meeting of the PCC as to the best way forward for our Parish in the current pandemic, it was decided that Communal Sunday worship with Holy Communion at St Thomas Church would be suspended and would not resume until Sunday 21st February at the earliest. We will continue to monitor the situation and will review our position based on the current information at the time. The decision was made prayerfully, and with the physical and spiritual welfare of all our parishioners and clergy in mind.
St Thomas’ Church will open for individual private prayer each Sunday and Wednesday from 10 – 11 am. The usual safety measures remain in place, and anyone who is vulnerable is strongly advised to stay at home to worship. We will continue our online and postal provision in order to keep everyone informed and engaged.
Please DO NOT attend if you are unwell, showing symptoms of coronavirus, self-isolating or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. If you are in the vulnerable or shielded categories as defined by the Government you are encouraged to stay at home and pray rather than come to church.
Strict social distancing and hygiene measures will be in operation and some parts of the building will not be accessible. Please follow the instructions on the signage and the advice of our volunteer stewards.
