Fr David was born into a clergy family in the Midlands. He read History at the University of Leicester and worked at Leicester and St Albans Cathedrals while discerning his calling to the priesthood. Following 6 years working for a railway company, first in customer relations and then as a driver operations manager, he trained for ministry at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield and the University of Sheffield, and served a curacy in the St Albans Diocese.
Fr David became the first Vicar of Mossley (with responsibility for the whole town, including St George's Church and St John the Baptist) in September 2016.
He is a Companion of the Community of the Resurrection, a member of the Society of Catholic Priests and Chaplain to TS Quantock (Tameside Sea Cadets), a member of the Mossley Town Team, a member of the Manchester Diocesan Synod and, with other members of the parish community, is a Governor at each of our church schools.
