DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ gift of the Eucharist\, given
  to us at the Last Supper.\n\nOn this night we focus on Jesus’ command (
 mandatum) to love one another as he loves us. Jesus’ love is shown in al
 l its fullness on the cross. But on the night before his death\, Jesus was
 hes his friends’ feet as an act of loving service. This is the kind of p
 ractical love which must characterise our life together as a Christian com
 munity\, and so we re-enact the Foot Washing as a sign of our commitment t
 o that love.\n\nThe love of Jesus was also expressed at the Last Supper by
  his giving to us of the Eucharist. At the end of the service the Blessed 
 Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood is carried to another part of churc
 h and a Watch of Silent Prayer is kept.
