St Gabriel's Church is open for Holy Week. There will be a service of Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday, 1st April, to mark the occasion when Jesus first began the service, at the Last Supper he had with his friends the night before he died. After thje service, we will strip the altar in silence, and prepare the building for Good Friday.
On Good Friday, the building will be open for individual private prayer from 9.00 a.m. - the time of day that Jesus was crucified. There will be a service at 2.00 p.m. called The Last Hour. This will be of readings, poems, hymns, prayers and reflections to mark the Last Hour that Jesus hung upon the cross before he died.
We celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the dead with a service of Holy Communion on Easter Day at 10.30 a.m.
