St Gabriel's Choir will attempt as unique feat on Saturday 9th October. In the church building, they will sing extracts from each one of the Bible's 150 Psalms - using chants, hymns and paraphrases. This is to raise money for the church's life and ministry in the area through donations and sponsorship. The Psalms are familiar to all sections of the richly diverse Sedgley Park neighbourhood. They bring the power of God's word into every human situation - as they explore feelings of celebration, inspiration, loneliness, searching, fear, doubt, happiness, empathy and occasionally rage. They have been the focal point of the Jewish community's life for over three thousand years - and were, of course, Jesus' hymn-book. This will be a unique opportunity to experience their range and depth.
