Holy Communion
A traditional Choral Evensong service with our wonderful Abbey choir.
During school holidays, the choir will take a break and the service will be a said service.
For those who prefer a shorter, music free service. We offer 8.15am holy Communion on the second and forth Sunday of every month.
A relaxed and informal service of worship through words and song in the calming atmosphere of the Abbey.
A time for peaceful reflection and quiet thought and prayer.
A Service for peace, justice and healing.
Messy Church takes place on the third Sunday of every month at 3pm (except for April due to Easter, MC will take place on the second Sunday of the month).
Growing in Faith Together.
This autumn and winter we will be holding another series of GiFT but this year we will be changing the way we meet. We will begin and end the series together in the Abbey, but, with one exception, the other evenings will take place in smaller groups, in homes. The Homegroups will remain the same for the whole series, giving people a chance to get to know each other well and learn and grow together.
Our theme will be the Five Marks of Mission which have been agreed by the whole Anglican Communion and which help to define our purpose and what it means to be the church in and for the world. Through discussion, bible studies, prayer and other activities we will explore each mark of mission and reflect on the challenges and opportunities that they invite. Hopefully, each session will also feel very sociable and a time for enjoying each other’s company.

Sessions will begin at 7.15pm and should finish by 9am. The final session will take the form of an Agape Eucharist, similar to those we have had before. Please indicate on the form, or in your email to Lucy, whether you: might need a lift to a Homegroup; could offer a lift to a Homegroup.
